5 Behaviors of A Confident Person
Everyone has fears. Even the bravest creatures have
something they are afraid of; but it’s not enough reason to stop them from
moving on the path they are destined to go. When you see your fears as stepping
stones to become a better and stronger person, you will find the strength and confidence
to approach them with courage. Turn your weaknesses into strengths. Do not deny
who you are, or who you aspire to become just because you keep letting your
fears get the best of you. You are responsible for your own life. Take charge
of your life.
Take a look at five (5) behaviors of a confident person;
1) They don’t make
excuses: Whatever position you find yourself in life, always remember that
you only have two options: make progress or make excuses. Confident people don’t
shy away from problems when they occur. They know that if they don’t tackle the
problem immediately, it might grow bigger and by then it might be difficult to
solve. They don’t make excuses to cover up their weakness. They are not defined
by their circumstances. Instead they let problems come to them and tackle them efficiently
with courage. They are good are turning their weaknesses into strengths. Don’t make
excuses, make progress.
2) They don’t procrastinate:
Confident people don’t have time to procrastinate. They are always willing
to finish up what they started. Their motto is: now or never. The more you
procrastinate, you are giving more power to your fears. When you say that you
are going to do something, get on it straight away. Don’t waste any more time
than you've already done. The more you keep saying that you will do it later,
you might never have the time to come back to accomplish it. The best way to
surmount your fears is by doing exactly what you said you were going to do. Don’t
procrastinate.
3) They don’t fear
failure: Confident people don’t see failure as the opposite of success.
They see failure as part of success. They know that there is no true success
without the experience of failure. They know that failure is only the opportunity
to become a better version of themselves. You can’t progress in life if you are
always afraid of failure. When you stop being a slave to your fears, you will
get to understand that failure is not fatal, but actually success in progress.
It is an opportunity to learn the rules of the game again. Have the freedom to
fail without condemning yourself. Learn to utilize the lessons learned from
failure. Don’t fear failure.
4) They avoid
conflicts: Confident people try to avoid conflicts as much as possible. They
always try to be understanding so as to prevent a clash or disagreement from occurring.
They know that conflicts are a waste of their time and useful energy. They
would rather settle for peace than let themselves get caught up in unwanted
situations. Conflicts drains you emotionally. You find yourself spending a lot
of useful time and energy arguing with people about things that won’t take you
anywhere in life. In order to achieve productive results in life, you must try
to avoid conflicts as much as possible.
5) They are always
grateful: The first step to being great is being grateful. Confident and Successful
people are grateful people. They know that the best things in life are free; so
they learn to count their blessings and be grateful for the life that they have
been given. Always be grateful for what you have; even when you don’t always
get what you want. There is always something to be grateful for. Learn to start
each day with a grateful heart. Live in the moment. Be grateful for all the challenges you've faced in life. For they have strengthened you and given you
more confidence to continue with your life’s journey.
