The programming of your mind affects everything you do. You can do no more than you believe you are capable of doing. If you always feel inept to do something, you are automatically reprogramming your mindset for failure. The Mind is a conscious reservoir of your mental dispositions. It stores everything you believe about yourself. It won’t discriminate between positive thoughts and negative thoughts. If your mind is filled with positive thoughts, you will act positively and fit to handle any situation. Likewise, if you fill your mind with negative thoughts, you will be compelled to act in a negative way. You can’t draw from an empty reservoir. The mind is the reasons and causes of your actions. You can improve your mindset through various ways.
Take a look at four (4) ways to improve your mindset;
1) Change your mindset: Your mindset is everything. The way you address situations reflects your dominant thoughts. If you continue to believe as you have always believed, you will continue to act as you have always acted. And the more you keep acting with the same mindset, you will keep getting the same old results. If you want a different result all you need to do is change your mind. Reprogram your mind to always see the good in every situation. By doing so, you encourage yourself to move forward. Whenever you encounter difficult challenges, don’t fret. Always respond in a positive manner. This will give you the incentive to move forward.
2) Failure is part of success: Most people are so scared to take a chance on doing something because they are afraid they might fail at first attempt. You can’t move forward by remaining stagnant. You need to understand that failure is not the opposite of success. Failure is part of success. Every successful person knows that there is no true success without the experience of failure. They don’t see failure as defeat but as lessons. They see failure as an opportunity to become better. The worst thing that can happen to you is neglecting to take a chance on something that would have led to your improvement. Stop being so afraid to fail and more willing to try. Have the freedom to fail without condemning yourself. Turn the word failure into lessons.
3) Find your silver lining: Every experience, no matter how bad it may seem, holds within it a blessing of some kind. Your goal is to find it. Do all you can to stay positive to have a shot at finding your silver lining. Train your mind to see the good in every situation. Don’t get discouraged when you face situations you don’t have answers to. When you stay positive in situations that would have made you act in a negative way, you encourage your spirit. Encouragement is food for the spirit in times of disappointment. Choose to see the silver lining in every cloudy situation.
4) Always be thankful: According to John Henry Jewett, Life without thankfulness is devoid of love and passion. Hope without thankfulness is lacking in fine perception. Faith without thankfulness lacks strength and fortitude. Every virtue divorced of thankfulness is maimed and limps along the spiritual road. In everything you do, always be thankful. Thankfulness opens the doors of opportunities. You attract more into your life when you form the habit of thankfulness. It is the secret hope of further favors. It is only when you remain thankful that you are able to attract more grace to your life. Be thankful even when things don’t go the way you plan; for it will open you up to receive more blessings.
