5 Roles Moms Play With Their Children

Nothing can replace the love a mom has for her kid. The bond they share is unbreakable. Every mom knows the pain and joy of child birth. They could never forget the things they deprived themselves of just to make sure their child is healthy and sound. They spend nine (9) months longing for the day they hold their baby in their arms. Patiently anticipating their arrival, they bore every kick and turn while carrying their baby. This is an experience that will forever live with every mom. Children are blessings. They bring nothing but love and happiness into the family. It is the responsibility of every mom to look after her children. The roles they play in the life of their children are very important.

1. Unconditional love.

The bond between a mom and her baby lasts for a lifetime. Every mom is familiar with the process in bringing their baby to the world. They know what they passed through in labor; the pain, blood and sweat they shed in order to have their baby in their arms. This whole process increases the love they have for their child. They love their child even before they met them. It is a mom’s natural instinct to take care of her children. They don’t do partial love. They shower each of their children with unconditional love. This makes them grow in love. And build their character and attitude when handling people and situations.

2. Sacrifice.

Being a mom is a full time job. There are no days off! As a mom you are going to have to make a lot of sacrifices for your children. You will deprive yourself of personal comfort in order to make sure your children are comfortable at all times. A good mom gives up their time to attend to their kids needs and concerns both physically and emotionally. They give up their sleep to ensure their kids sleep well at night. Personal pleasures don’t mean anything to a loving and caring mom, because she knows she won’t be happy when her children are unhappy. Every mom loves doing things that makes her children happy. She could starve herself just to make sure her children eats. No words can explain her sacrifices.

3. Strength.

Every mom is a supermom in the eyes of their children. She appears all strong and powerful and has the ability to multitask when handling different situations. Her sense of control when taking up responsibilities in the home makes her look strong to her children. Every mom has somehow mastered the combination of being both soft and strong. They are strong because they have to be strong for their children. And sometimes they cry when their children is in pain. They possess all the strength in the world when it comes to taking care of their children.

4. Role model.

Every mom is a role model to their children. When a child grows up from infancy unto childhood, they begin to form their character based on what they have seen and observed. They pick up those little habits they usually watch their mom display; the way she talks, how she walks, her actions and reactions when handling people and situations. They have seen how brave and fearless their mom could be and would like to walk in the light of such strength. Children learn things very fast. They quickly pick up habits they feel comfortable with. It is the role of every mom to always radiate positive energy, knowing fully well that their children are watching and learning.

5. Protection.

It is normally believed that the role of protection and security in the home should be handled by the dad. Dads play an important role in providing protection and security for the family. Moreover, moms also play an essential role in offering protection for their children. They spend most of the time with their children so they are familiar with their worries and concerns. A good mom isn’t ignorant of the things that happens in their kids school. They make sure that their children are not being bullied or mistreated in anyway. They do all they can to shield them from harm or danger.
