1) Leave the past in the past: Don’t be a prisoner of your past. It was just a lesson, not a life sentence. Sometimes people find it hard to get over their past because of their inability to forgive themselves for the way things turned out. You can’t lead a positive life when you keep relieving painful experiences of the past. Understand that no one is entirely perfect. We all make mistakes and sometimes fall short of doing the right things. This is what makes us human. Learn to leave the past in the past so you can be free to enjoy life’s best offers.

2) Forget what people think about you: When you think too much about what others think about you, you leave little or no room to truly be yourself. Do not deny who you are, or who you aspire to become just because someone has a problem with it. Don’t start seeing yourself through the eyes of those who don’t know your worth. You are responsible for your own life. You won’t be free to lead the kind of life you want if you always get consumed by what other people think about you. Do what make you happy and not what others think. What others think about you doesn’t count. It’s what you think about yourself that really matters.

3) Don’t compare your life to others: We all have different purposes in life. Don’t compare your life to others because you don’t know what their purpose is all about. Focus on your journey without being distracted by the way others live their life. Comparison deprives you of your own happiness. It makes you lose track of your journey. Don’t compare your life to others. The only person you should be comparing with is yourself. Compare yourself to the person you were yesterday. Work on improving yourself.

4) Worry less: There is nothing in this world that can worry you more than your own thoughts. You won’t be truly happy and free to lead a positive life when your own thoughts keep bringing you down. Sometimes its OK not to know all the answers to life. Some answers to life will gradually unfold to us when we least expect. Keep a positive attitude always. Don’t let anything steal your peace of mind. Guard your heart will all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

5) You are the master of your own destiny: You have the power to shape your life in the direction you want it to go. You decide what you want to make of it. You are in complete control of your life. Don’t let anyone play the lead role in your life. You are the main character of your life’s story. Stay in control of your life. Let go of anyone or anything that doesn’t give you peace of mind so that you can be free to be all that you are destined to become.
