Life is about the choices you make. You are free to make whatever choice you want, but you are not free from the consequences of your choice. Every choice comes with a consequence. Once you make a choice, you must take full responsibility of the consequences. You can’t escape the consequences of your choices, whether they are beneficial to you or not.
Life is a matter of choices and every choice you make defines you. The choices you make dictate the life you lead. The life you live today is as a result of the choices you made yesterday. Let the choices you make today be the choices you can live with tomorrow.
Here are five (5) choices to make today that will change your life;
1. Choose to live by choice and not by chance.
Today choose to live by choice and not by chance. Whether you choose to live by choice or by chance, you will bear the consequences for the way you choose to live your life. Living by choice involves carefully planning out how you want your life to turn out to be and not by mere accident. If you choose to live by chance, you must be prepared to accept anything life throws your way.
Every choice comes with a consequence that you can’t escape from whether you like it or not. If you have been living your life by chance and you keep experiencing negativity, bad breaks, disappointment and failures, then it is about time to make a choice that will change your life for the better. Choose to live by choice and not by chance.
2. Choose to be motivated and not manipulated.
Stay motivated by surrounding yourself with positive people who encourage you to achieve your dreams and goals. Motivation is the drive you need to achieve your goals. Choose to be motivated and not manipulated. Let go of anyone that doesn’t inspire you to become the person you aspire to be.
With the right motivation, you will be able to cope with challenges in order to get through a difficult situation, quit old habits and solve problems that once seemed difficult to resolve. Choose to be motivated by strong and positive people and not manipulated by weak and negative individuals.
3. Choose to make changes and not excuses.
Your desire to change must be greater than your excuses. You won’t be able to make any progress with your life if you keep making excuses to avoid any opportunity that comes your way. Success comes when you stop making excuses and start making real practical changes.
You will never be able to change your life until you change something you do on a daily basis. Your life is a result of the choices you make. If you don’t like the life you are living, then you should start making better choices. Progress can only be achieved when you stop making excuses and practice effective ways to change your life by making daily positive changes to every.
4. Choose to excel and not compete.
Life is a journey not a destination. Everyone has their own race to run. You are not in competition with anybody but yourself. Do not desire to play the game of being better that anyone else. Successful people never worry about what other people are doing. They only focus on excelling at their goals.
One of the things successful people don’t do is compete with others for recognition in order to validate themselves. They careless about what other people think of them. They only strive to become a better person than they were yesterday because they realize that they are their only competition.
5. Choose to follow your inner voice and not the opinions of others.
You will never follow your inner voice until you clear up the doubts in your mind. Listen to your inner voice and follow it, although most times it will tell you the most uncomfortable path to choose. Choose to follow your inner voice and not the opinions of others. As you learn to follow your inner voice, it will lead you to your dreams.
No one knows you better than you know yourself, so no one can give you better advice than you can give yourself. Refuse to follow the negative opinions of others. Always remember that you are solely responsible for your life. You are the one that receives the punches when life hits hard and not others.
Do not follow the opinions of others if they don’t motivate you to be the person you want to become. The opinions of others don’t count. It is what you think about yourself that really matters.
