How to Accept Change

Don’t feel sad when the universe takes something away from your life. The universe always replaces what leaves your life with something bigger and better. Don’t hold on to what could have been, should have been or would have been. Find the courage to let go of what needs to be removed from your life.

When you let go of the past, you give yourself the opportunity to experience the blessings in the present moment. There is life, peace and joy in this present moment, but you will fail to experience them while clinging to the past. You must accept the end of something in order to begin something new.

Here are five (5) ways to accept change;

1. Be here and now.

Be here and now. We need to learn to live in the present moment. The present moment is the only moment available to us, and it is the door to all moments. If you are depressed, you are still living in the past; if you are anxious, you are living in the future; but if you are at peace with yourself, you are living in the present.

Always remember that the past has no power over the present moment. No matter how depressed you are concerning the things that happened in the past, do not forget that the past has no power over you and you can simply walk out of it. Let go of the past.

2. Don’t worry yourself too much.

You can spend hours, days, weeks, months and even years thinking about the past, trying to put all the pieces together, imagining what could have been, should have been or would have been.

Worrying is a complete waste of your precious time. Worrying solves nothing but keeps you busy doing nothing. Instead of worrying yourself too much about how things turned out or didn’t turn out to be, use that time to improve yourself to become a stronger and smarter person. Don’t let your past experience ruin your entire life.

3. Change is coming, accept it.

There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. If only you can get to understand what is triggering your fears, you will realize that there is no reason to fear. You may have gone through a dreadful situation in the past that keeps hunting you presently. Only the thought of what happened in the past could make you cringe. If you don’t confront your fears, it will keep screwing up your chances of living a better life.

Change is coming, accept it as it comes so that you can be free to move on with your life. Sometimes, the thing holding you back is all in your head. Get out of your head and see how beautiful life is. Accept change and all the wonderful blessings that comes along with it.

4. Forgive your past mistakes.

No one is perfect. We all make mistakes and sometimes falls short of doing the right things. The fact that you made a mistake or didn’t do something right doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with you. It only proves that you are human. Don’t be too hard on yourself because you made a mistake in the past. If you keep beating yourself up because of what you did in the past, you will never forgive yourself. Regardless of how the past turned out to be, you are not a horrible person. Learn to forgive your past mistakes so that you can be free from the bonds of the past.

5. Be a grateful person.

A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles. An ungrateful person always finds it hard to reap the blessings of life because they don’t appreciate the little things that life offers them. If you are not grateful for the little you have, nothing more will be given to you.

A grateful heart is a loving heart. Everyone loves a grateful person. You can never get tired of offering gifts to a grateful person because you know that they will truly appreciate them from the bottom of their heart.

Be grateful for everything that happened in your life whether pleasurable or not. Be grateful for the good, the bad and the ugly times for they all made you the person you are today. Always be a grateful person.
