There are so many reasons to be grateful. When you express gratitude for everything you have, God gives you more than you asked, giving you even more reasons to be grateful. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more you will have to be grateful. A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.
A grateful person is given the privilege of seeing what others don’t see. Be grateful for the bad things that happened in your life, for they opened your eyes to see the good things you weren’t paying attention to before. There is always a reason to be grateful.
Here are five (5) reasons you should be a grateful person;
1. Life is a gift.
You woke up this morning alive and breathing. Some people didn’t wake up to see this day. One day they are here; the next day they are gone. Every day of life is a gift from God to be received with joy and gratitude. It is not by your own effort or power that you woke up today. The greatest gift you can receive, is another day of life. Life is a gift. Wake up every day and realize that. Always be grateful for life because when someone dies, there is no coming back.
2. Good health.
Health is the greatest wealth you can have. Never risk your health to become rich because health is the wealth of wealth. It is sad to know that some people don’t value their health until sickness comes; at that point, they find themselves spending all the money they have to become healthy again. If you are blessed with good health, that is enough reason to be a grateful person. If that is not motivation enough for you, pay a visit to the hospital and see the number of people fighting for their lives, just to be healthy again.
3. You have food and can eat.
Some people have food, but they can’t eat. Others can eat, but they have no food. But for you, you have food and you are healthy enough to eat as you like, that is enough reason to be a grateful person. You may think because you have enough food to eat, others have too, but you will be surprised to find out that a lot of people still die of hunger. Even some people that have food to eat still face serious health challenges that requires them being fed by tube. Your case is different. The fact that you have food and can eat, is a good reason to be grateful.
4. Your family.
Family is the most important thing in the world. We strive every day to become better versions of ourselves because of our family. We love our family so much and always want the best for them. As you grow older, you will find out that most things you thought were important are all subject to change, but the only unchangeable thing that bonds us for eternity is family. When you think about how much you love and care for your family, you can’t help but say a little prayer for them and hope no harm ever gets to them. Seeing your family happy and in good health is enough reason to be grateful to God.
5. True friends.
True friends are angels who lift us up when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly. Whenever you feel down and lack the motivation to keep moving forward, true friends will support you with everything they have to offer to ensure that you are back on your feet.
A true friend is someone you can count on in times of need. They treat you with much respect and will do anything to make you feel good. True friends have your best interest at heart and would never want to let you down.
If you have true friends in your life that encourages, supports and always want the best for you, you are luckier than you know, so be grateful.
