Do You Know How Powerful Your Words Are?

You are currently viewing Do You Know How Powerful Your Words Are?

We live in a world where we are being held accountable for what we speak. Words have extensive and creative powers. Whatever a man voices, he begins to attract. What you speak can take you to your peak. On the other hand it can also lead to your downfall, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Your words and your thoughts go hand in hand. You tend to say what you think about. Watch your thoughts for they eventually become words.

Sometimes people say things without thinking. The fact that you do not seriously mean what you say does not in any way negate the effectiveness of the spoken words. On the other hand, it does not release you from being accountable for you words. Words are more powerful than you realize. They can discourage or encourage, wound or heal, tear down or build up.

Everything was created through the “Word” of God. He spoke this physical world into existence. So you can imagine how powerful words are. With the knowledge you were created of Him also signifies you have the power to create with your words too. Words have creative forces. So you should be careful what you say, especially to yourself. The body can be renewed and transformed through the spoken words. People who continually speak of disease invariably attract the disease.

Do you ever stop and think about the words you say to yourself and to the people around you and how powerful they are?

I challenge you to carefully monitor what you say for a day.

  • Take note of the positive and negative words you voice out
  • Take note of the effect they have on you and other people
  • Be conscious of the things you say to yourself about yourself

You will find out that there are a lot of negative words you voice out unknowingly. Such careless spoken words take effect whether you meant it or not.

Research has shown that words have emotional, physical and spiritual impact. Words have the power to build up relationships and also the same power to tear it apart. They can cause physical changes in your body and change the spiritual atmosphere. They can do a whole lot of damage, when you talk carelessly.

It is time to stop and think about the words you voice out and the effect they have both on you and other people.

Speak the right words!!

Thanks for reading.
