The pain you feel today will be the strength you feel tomorrow. You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it. Change your mindset from “I’m broken and helpless” to “I’m growing and healing”. Don’t let the struggles you encounter today make you lose hope for a better tomorrow.
Transform your life through the renewing of your mind. Change your negative mindset to a positive mindset and watch your life change for the better.
Here are nine (9) things to keep in mind in order to live a peaceful life;
1. The past can’t be changed.
The past can’t be changed or corrected. No matter what happened in the past, don’t expect to experience it again because it is gone forever. Whatever happened in the past that made you so bitter about life, should be buried in the past. The more you cling to the past, the harder it gets to move on with your life.
The longer you hold on to the past, the more you put your life on hold. There is no future for someone who lives in the past. Get to understand that the past can’t be changed. Live in the moment and make the most of it. You are alive and that what matters the most.
2. Opinions don’t define your reality.
You are the master of your life. Don’t let someone else’s opinion of you become your reality. Never sacrifice who you are or who you aspire to become just because someone has a problem with it. This is your life and you should live it the way you love. You would be doing yourself an injustice by letting the opinions of others define your reality.
Be true to yourself. Love who you are in and out. Be unapologetically you. Be bold enough to pursue your dreams. Believe in yourself so strongly that others can’t help but believe in you too.
3. Everyone’s journey is different.
Life is a journey and everyone’s journey is different. We all have our own journey to embark on. It will serve you no good to compare your life to others because you have no clue what their journey is all about. Comparison distracts you from your journey. It prevents you from seeing how truly unique and special you are.
Don’t compare yourself to others because you have no idea what their life’s purpose entails. The only person you should compare with, is the person you were yesterday. Strive to become a better version of yourself. You are your only competition.
4. Overthinking can lead to sadness.
Overthinking can cause you great sadness. Thinking too much can complicate a situation, twists things around, forces you to worry a lot and make the situation appear much worse than it actually is. Overthinking is the biggest cause of unhappiness. The more you think too much about a situation, the more you give room to harbor negative thoughts.
Nothing can trouble you as much as your own thoughts. Overthinking is just a painful reminder that you care too much, even when you shouldn’t. Don’t be a slave to your own thoughts. It is about time to be happy with yourself. Thinking too much will only bring you great sadness. Just let things flow. Be positive.
5. Happiness is found within.
The fountain of happiness is found within you. Once you get to understand that happiness fleets, you will stop trying to pursue happiness and just be happy. Depending on people or things to make you happy will leave you disappointed. No one but you can truly make you happy.
Your happiness is always your choice to make. You can choose to be happy with yourself regardless of the situation you encounter. Don’t let the challenges you face rob you of your happiness. Always be happy.
6. Kindness is free.
It costs nothing to be a kind human being. If you have the opportunity to make someone happy, do it with gladness in your heart. Sometimes people struggle silently with things you have no idea about. Your little act of kindness could help put a smile on their face. Kind words costs nothing to say. If you find someone in a difficult situation, be kind to them and encourage them to keep moving forward.
Kindness is free. Learn to be kind not only to others but also to yourself. Whenever you make a mistake or do something wrong, don’t be unkind to yourself. Be kind to yourself and encourage yourself to keep moving forward. Remind yourself that you are doing the best you can with what you have and that is all you can expect of yourself. Learn to be kind.
7. It’s okay to let go and move on.
We all make mistakes. Understand that no one is entirely perfect. Don’t beat yourself up because of the things you did in the past that you never forgave yourself for. It doesn’t matter how big the offense was, as long as you are willing to forgive yourself and move on with your life.
Self-guilt will eat you up from the inside if you let it. The more you keep looking back at the past, the less you live in the moment. There is no future for someone who clings to the past. It is okay to let go of the burdens of the past and move on with your life.
8. What goes around, comes around.
What goes around, come around. You get what you give. Whatever you give out to the universe will be returned to you in the same manner. Be good to others and don’t try to hurt anyone intentionally because it will surely come back to you; maybe not today or tomorrow, but certainly one day, when you least expect.
If someone hurts you, don’t seek revenge. The universe has a way of working things out. If you try to handle things your way, you might get hurt a second time. Just leave them alone for they will surely get what they deserve. Always remember that what goes around, come around.
9. Things always get better with time.
Things always gets better with time, just exercise a little patience. Sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall in place. It may take a little while but things will surely get better. You may be going through a really difficult situation right now and you begin to wonder if it is ever going to end. Don’t panic. Storms don’t last forever.
Some things may take time longer than it should, but in those trying times, learn to exercise patience. Stay patient and stay positive, things will get better.

One of my favorite point is what goes around, comes around. Karma is very real and it hunts the wicked. Thanks for sharing this amazing tips. You’re doing a great job Simobel 👍🏽
I choose to change my mindset, I’m growing and healing 🥺
Amazing!!! Learn to cultivate a growth mindset 🙂
Absolutely! What goes around will certainly come back around. This is why it is important to only do good deed so that you won’t get caught up with bad karma in the future.
I enjoyed reading through the whole writeup, it was really engaging. My take home is: we’re all on a different journey and should not compare ourselves with others.
Another point that struck a cord is that which talks about making a choice to be happy, if one depends on others to make him/her happy, then disappointment is inevitable.
Simple but profound thanks for sharing.
Absolutely!!! Everyone’s journey is different. We all have different races to run so we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others. We were placed here on earth for a purpose and we won’t be able to fulfill our purpose if we keep getting distracted by what other people are doing with their lives. Your happiness is your choice to make. If you depend on other people to make you happy, you will be very disappointed.
