5 Toxic Habits That Drain Your Energy

Your mind will become a prison if you constantly dwell on negative thoughts. You won’t be free to live the kind of life you want until you let go of all self-made barriers.

When it feels like bad breaks are all you experience in your life, and you find it hard to control your environment, learn to control your focus. Whatever you focus on grows. Be mindful of the kind of thoughts that take roots in your mind, for they will surely produce results whether positive or negative.

Build healthy habits that will empower you rather than drain your energy. Let go of every toxic habit that constantly drain your energy.

Here are five (5) toxic habits that drain your energy;

1. Taking things personally.

Taking things personally is a habit you should quit. You will experience freedom only when you learn to stop taking things personally. It will keep feeling like you are being drained of your energy if you continue to let the actions of others affect you in a negative way.

Don’t let the actions or opinions of others influence you to take things personally. Get to understand that people do things because of them, and not necessarily because of you. You may not be able to control the things people say and do to you, but you can certainly control the way you act about the things happening.

2. Holding on to the past.

Whatever happened in the past that made you so bitter about life, will keep screwing up your chances of living a better life. If you keep holding on to the past, you will never be open to have a great future. The more anger you hold in your heart towards the past, the less able you are of loving and enjoying the present.

Holding on to the past is staying trapped in a place you no longer belong. Life is a gift and you can only experience life’s amazing gifts when you live fully in the present. Engage fully in the moment. There is so much you can achieve in life, but only when you let go of the past and appreciate the gift of the present.

3. Worrying all the time.

Free yourself from worries

Worry is an absolute waste of your time and energy. If you currently find yourself in a difficult situation that seems out of your control, get to understand that worrying won’t solve anything but rather drain your energy. You will find out that you have suddenly become so tired after spending a lot of time and energy worrying about that situation.

Anything that costs you your peace of mind is way too expensive and should certainly be gotten rid of. No matter the situation you find yourself, practice being calm. Understand that life is only ten (10) percent of what happens to you, the remaining ninety (90) percent is based on your reaction to what is happening. Always remain calm regardless of the situation you find yourself in.

4. Having a poor diet.

You are what you eat. The food you eat can be the most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. If you eat crappy foods, you will look and feel bad about yourself. On the other hand, if you eat a healthy balanced diet, you will look and feel really great about yourself.

Eat high vibrational foods. High vibrational foods are foods that are full of energy and they help raise your vibration. The more you consume high vibrational foods, you will be full of life force energy. Eat as much high-vibe foods you possibly can, for they will give you the energy you need to go about your daily responsibilities.

5. Trying to please everyone.

Don’t lose yourself trying to please everyone

If you always try to please everyone, someday you will discover that you pleased no one. It is difficult to lead your life for others happiness. You are not obligated to set yourself on fire just to keep others warm.

Don’t be afraid of losing other people, instead be more concerned of losing yourself trying to please everyone around you. Don’t lose yourself trying to please everyone for it drains you of your energy.

Sometimes, it is ok to say no to someone in order to keep your peace of mind. If you don’t feel like doing something, don’t be compelled to do it. If you eventually do something you are not comfortable with, you will end up feeling really bad about yourself.

Spot on!! I used to take things personally in the past that it made me overreact to things I shouldn’t have, and that drained me most of the time. Your blogs are always on point. Keep it up Simobel 💪🏽
